Play all of page 38 and first six lines of page 39.
Known Errata:

2. Measure 30 articulation should be slur two, tongue two.

If you are unsure as to what region you have been assigned, go to the following URL and find it: Region Alignment

Use Year C in the Prescribed Audition List for auditions in 2008-09

Please note that percussion auditions have changed to a unified audition (not separate) for 2008-09.

TIMPANI: The etudes must be taken from the new edition of the Saul Goodman Modern Method for Tympani. Note that the publisher is Alfred, not Belwin (although some editions may have a Warner-Brothers publisher). Some may also have a copyright of 2000, but the newest editions list only the 1988 copyright. Just make sure it is published by either Alfred or Warner-Brothers.

SAL UPDATED 10-2-07

The Suggested Audition List for Middle School auditions has been updated. The Year B Combined Percussion etudes are listed in error. The mallet etude was listed as #I on page 81 but should read #XXIII Marcia on page 81 (play all) with tempo marking of quarter note = 60-76.

The reasoning behind this is that Year B mallets are the primary instrument so must play a more difficult piece (they play a much simpler piece in Year A and Year C).
