David Mooney, 61, of Maypearl passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, at home. He was born to the late James Cecil Mooney and Helen Rose Mooney on Aug. 14, 1948, in Ardmore, Okla.

David was a long-time band director and music teacher who also served for two years in the U.S. Army. During his retirement the past few years he authored an autobiography which is to be published in August and began work on an online master’s degree in arts and religion through Liberty University in Virginia.
