Charles A. Roberts
Charles A. Roberts, 77, of Lufkin, was born October 27, 1930, in Port Arthur, Texas, the son of the late Eunice (Ferguson) and Clyde W. Roberts. He passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008, in a local nursing facility. Mr. Roberts was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a retired band director, having taught in Bridge City and Nederland, and was of the Church of Christ Faith. Survivors include his wife, Helen Roberts; daughters, Sherry Domingue, Debi Shanks and Suzanne Miller; grandchildren, Laura Lee Steele, Anna Gale Steele, Taran Shanks, Meagan Miller, Caitlin Miller, Alaine Miller and Gillian Miller; and great-grandchildren, Sean Tutt and Eden Gomez. Graveside services for Mr. Roberts will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008, in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, with Eli Borden of Central Church of Christ, officiating.
