The region jazz music is taken from the Abersold book Vol. 54 "Maiden Voyage".

The audition music for this year will be:

Horns-trumpet, trombone, alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax

Doxy - 1 time through the melody

Canteloupe Island - 1 time through the melody

Bb Blues - improvise a solo for 12 measures

Rhythym Section-guitar, piano, & vibes

Doxy - play melody 1 time through and play chords 1 time through

Canteloupe Island - play melody 1 time through and play chords 1 time through

Bb Blues - improvise a solo for 12 measures

Bass

Doxy - play the bass line 1 time through

Canteloupe Island - play the bass line 1 time through

Bb Blues - improvise a solo for 12 measures

Play along with Bb Blues Etude CD

Latin Beat - play at least 16 measures @ 120bpm

Funk Beat - play at least 16 measures @ 120bpm

Swing Beat - play at least 16 measures @ 120bpm
