It was decided that Cara Roby will be Region Secretary.Minutes were read by Cara Roby.Motion was made to accept the minutes and David Landry 2nds.Motion passed unanimously.
Financial Report
43% of funds will go to the new region.Those funds have not yet been transferred.There was a discussion over having an audit before funds are transferred.David Landry made a motion to have an audit of all moneys and equipment before funds are transferred where by both regions and Kenneth Griffin of ATSSB would get a copy.Dale Coates 2nds, motion passed unanimously.
Proposed Calendar
A list of proposed dates were announced and discussed.Quinlan offered to host the All Region Jazz Band at Ford HS.
MS All Region was confirmed for 12-5-06 beginning at 1pm
Kyle will look into continuing late S/E at Prosper.
The final calendar will be voted on in May.
All Region Bands
There was discussion of changing numbers for Region band because of loss of participation.Concerns were expressed about keeping All Region competitive.The possibility of cutting the numbers of the top band and keeping the 2nd band the same was discussed.It was agreed that All Region will still have 4 bands and that the committee will figure out the numbers for those bands.
The possibility of raising fees for All Region depending on participation was mentioned.
John Young made a motion to have one All Region Jazz Band.Todd Felty 2nds and motion passed unanimously.
Ellis Kilgore was named All Region Jazz chair.
Kyle White read off the list of clinicians for 06-07.There was no discussion.
