Meeting called to order at 11:45 p.m.
A motion was made by Bobby McCoy to pass the minutes from the previous
meeting without being read. Motion was 2nded by Chris McHenry.
The motion passed.
Financial Report
The bank account was set up and checks were purchased. David
Landry was reimbursed for the laptop.
Old Business
Still not sure where the North Texas Honor Band is going to be this
year.
H.S. All-Region is being held at Commerce H.S.
Probst audio is going to do the jazz recordings for All Region Jazz.
This will be taken care of by John Young.
New Business
David Landry is putting together a directory for ATSSB.
Please make sure that all information is updated. Jeff Johnson
was nominated and then added to the percussion committee.
Daniel Curry was appointed coordinate the percussion for the M.S. All-Region
Symphonic Band.
Be sure that all directors at your M.S. are in TMEA/ATSSB.
All directors need to come to auditions.
Everyone will need to reregister with UILforms.com
There was some discussion about upping the honorarium
for All Region Jazz from $450 to $600. Monte Ashcraft made a motion
to do so. Dale Coates 2nded and the motion passed.
Bobby McCoy makes a motion to have committees
approve cuts made by the region coordinator and the host of M.S. Al- Region.
The cuts that the region coordinator and host make will be unofficial until
they are approved. Once they are approved, the official cuts will
be posted no later than 30 minutes before tryouts. If a committee
is unable to review a set of cuts, the cuts made by the region coordinator
and host will become the official cuts and be posted. Bennett Potter
2nded the motion. The motion passed.
The possibility of 6th graders who are 2nd year players and would like
to try out for All Region was discussed. It will be the responsibility
of the audition committee to take a look at possibly adding another year
to the audition music so that they can compete.
OPS ranks were recognized.
A motion to adjourn was made by Monte Ashcraft. Dale Coates 2nded. Motion passed.
