1. Encourage ATSSB membership from EVERYONE in
the Region and encourage them to pay dues on time.
2. Oversee high school and middle school ATSSB All-Region tryouts in matters such as dates, site, and hosts.
3. Oversee high school and middle school ATSSB All-Region clinics and concerts for matters such as date, site, site and band hosts, and clinicians.
4. Type and set the programs for the concert.
5. Oversee a meal for 450 people for lunch Saturday. (Clinic Date) Also, be sure that the clinic hosts are taken to lunch.
6. Contract with Recording and T-shirt/Sales
7. Certify Students to AREA.
8. Serve as an official at AREA auditions.
9. Oversee ATSSB JAZZ auditions/Clinic/Concert in matters pertaining to dates, site, hosts.
10. Oversee UIL A-AAA Concert and Sight-reading Contest as far as date, site/host, selection of judges, and contact with UIL.
11. Oversee OPS recording collection (May) and judging. (June)
12. Oversee the late UIL solo and ensemble contest pertaining to matters such as date, site, host, and contact with UIL.
13. Communication with members of the region.
14. Organize, set agenda, and moderate meeting 3 times a year for information and rules.
15. Keeper of the Rules and Policies - written and enforced.
16. Officiate the MS X and Y lists and publish errata as it becomes known.
17. Keep the checkbook balanced.
18. Attend two State Board Meetings each year at TBA and TMEA.
