Realignment Thoughts? Discussion: Makes no sense unless
you are a large
school. Floyd said it was for geographical reasons. However,
it left some
schools and picked others here and there out. Maybe write a letter
from
ATSSB- showing displeasure. Might come up with a worse plan.
What is the
solution?
Motion to send official correspondence from Region 3 ATSSB that we would
like another plan presented. -2nd.
More discussion: Canton and Willspoint do not want to move. They would
prefer to stay in Region 3. Need other reasons- educational,
etc. Just a
letter stating displeasure is not a solution. Need to think it
through.
Need more reasons.
Motion restated: *Motion to send official ATSSB correspondence
to repeat
what Region 3 TMEA is stating. Say the same thing to help reinforce
our
feelings. No solution or plan. Express displeasure from 3A down.-

Our paper needs to also site that in the letter, they stated they were
going
to leave it the same.
OPS: Region 5- June 1, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in Princeton- Listening
to tapes.
Sending ours to Region 2. Judging fee for that is $25.00.

5A to please
hold discussions that do not pertain to small schools until later.

Web Site: Everyone- Check the web site. Several things have
been updated.
However, Sounds of Spring still needs to be updated.
Finances: We need to form a committee to look over the budget.
Finance Committee: Elmer, Robby, Shawn, Clark, Brandon
DAT or CD? DAT is most important. DAT is primary.
However, it would be
nice to have both. The company that Sounds of Spring used was
good and did
not have a problem doing both.

At the end of All Region Tryouts, try to have music folders or

ATSSB JAZZ: For the Clinic and Concert- We are looking into a
college
performance place- maybe Collin County.
Date Question: Some people wanted to move the Tryout date to
March 27
because of spring breaks. I will give the message to Mr. B. to
see if that
would work or not.
Sounds of Spring: Would anyone be interested in moving it to late
April?
March 30-31 seems to be the better time. Also, a Tues./Wed. or
Wed/Thurs.
would be O.K. If you have any suggestions, talk with Brandon
Brewer.
