Area Auditions will be held on Saturday January 9th 2027 at Lindale High School
  •  The Judges Meeting begins at 10:00am

**All schools/directors with qualifying students are required to be available for judging/monitoring.

  • Make sure and check the ATSSB web page for all instructions on auditions.

  • Get your check requests into your business offices. $25 per student Area audition fee. You should pay to your respective region before you arrive at auditions. Checks should be written to your respective Region.

  • Accommodations: Make hotel reservations if you need them. Lindale HS is an easy and fast commute from Tyler. There are also hotels in Lindale
  • PATCHES will be given in the library after the judges meeting.
  • Please bring a device to input Scores!
  • Directors of participating schools should be available to judge or monitor even if they are not listed on the panels. If a director listed on the panel is not available please contact me immediately. I have done my best to balance panels between Regions and directors judging their primary instruments from the lists provided by Region Coordinators.
  • Are there any forms I need to get filled out…..? No! All forms(medical, Code of Conduct, housing) will be done AFTER your student qualifies for the All-State Band.
 

If you have a student make the All State Bands

  • Once a student makes the band, directors will be sent a link with an individual code for each student that makes the band to access their “All State Record”. There will be a place on their “All State Record” to submit information.

From the State Office on One Breath Warmups

  • A student may play the first note of the first scale or etude for no more than 5 second should they choose to warm up.
  • Please note they do not have to play a warm-up, but if they choose to do so, it must be the first note of the first scale or etude for no more than 5 seconds.
  • Cell Phones as Metronomes: Inaudible (muted) cell phones may be used as a metronome but they must be “turned off (black-screened) before the student begins.
