Recording Requirements
- Only UIL-approved concert selections may be entered.
- If two concert selections are entered, one selection must be from the pertinent UIL grade level or higher.
- If only one concert selected is entered, it must be no lower than one grade level below the pertinent UIL grade level of the entering school.
- Verification of UIL approval to perform any selection not listed in the current UIL Prescribed Music List must accompany any such entry.
- Recordings submitted must contain performances from the current school year and at an UIL C/SR Contest or Approved OPS Festival.
- Entries must have been recorded at a UIL contest or at an approved contest during the period from January 1 until May 20 of the current school year.
- The current approved contest list can be found in the OPS Handbook and on the OPS webpage of the ATSSB website.
- A director may submit a Non-UIL Contest Approval Form to request that a contest be added to the approved list. Confirmation or denial will be provided by the OPS State Chair.
- All audio files need to be in .wav format. Sample rate: 41000 Hz; Stereo; 16-Bit (required – .mp3 and other formats are not accepted)
