Festivals and Upcoming Events

The MCC Highlands Band Festival returns after a five-year hiatus on May 13, 2026, at the newly renovated Wilbur A. Ball Performing Arts Center on the McLennan Community College campus in Waco, Texas. Open to all school bands, the festival offers an ideal opportunity to perform in a professional concert hall environment, whether as a pre-UIL run-through or as part of a comprehensive performance assessment experience.
Participating ensembles will receive a high-quality video recording of their performance, along with detailed written and verbal adjudication from experienced clinicians. Each ensemble will also participate in an on-stage clinic immediately following their performance, providing focused, practical feedback that can be directly applied in rehearsal.
