ATSSB All-State Clinic: June 9-12, 2021

PERCUSSIONISTS: Bring sticks and mallets. All percussion equipment is being provided by Melissa, Anna and Winona ISDs unless you have been contacted prior to State.

Remember that the All-State Fee of $30 is due and all forms must be submitted properly signed and notarized before students may audition for chairs, so send a check or use PayPal to pay with a credit card (just put in the amount you are paying and what school it is for and make the payment to atssb@att.net). If you need it, email the Executive Secretary and he will send an invoice from PayPal for you to present to your business office for payment. Of course, you may just bring a check to Registration if you wish.

Be sure to CHECK HERE to see if you have sent in all necessary forms and paid the All-State Fee. If not, be sure to bring them to Registration on Wednesday.

No tickets are required, no admission will be charged, the public is invited to attend, no social distancing will be required, and masks may be worn if desired but are not required. COVID INFORMATION

Should anyone exhibit COVID symptoms, they will be asked to submit to a test. A qualified staff member will administer the rapid COVID test free of charge. If they are not a legal adult, they must have a COVID Testing Permission Form giving parental approval to test for COVID either on their person or on file with ATSSB. If the person refuses to take the test or tests positive, or as a minor they do not have parental permission, they will be isolated and sent home if a student (their parents and director will be notified to make the arrangements) or isolated until they can make arrangements to leave without returning if a legal adult. Be sure to send the permit or bring it to Registration on Wednesday for minors. Click HERE to see the COVID Safety Protocols adopted by the ATSSB Executive Committee for this clinic.

Schedule:  2021 Rehearsal Schedule

Vendors will be there in a small exhibit area in the Student Union. See the ACTIVITIES MAP for the location of exhibitors.

REGISTRATION will be in Melissa beginning at 1:00 on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. The student badge holder has a pocket for a cell phone and a zippered pocket for small items (which include the Code of Conduct and Medical Release – along with a Chair Audition Schedule and a Thursday Sectional Rehearsal schedule). Directors will receive a commemorative badge in a clear badge holder and lanyard provided by Kaleidoscope Adventures, Inc. ATSSB Current members pay no registration fee (non-members must pay a $10 registration fee).

The ATSSB 30th Anniversary Luncheon, sponsored in part by Kaleidoscope Adventures, Inc., will be held at the Sheraton McKinney Throckmorton Ballroom at 1:00 on Friday, June 11, 2021. To reserve your spot, send in your INVOICE to pay the $15 Luncheon Fee, especially if you are planning to bring your spouse ($5 registration fee – be sure to list the spouse name for the badge). All-State students will be in rehearsals during the Luncheon, so will be unable to attend (they will have had their catered lunch before the 30th Anniversary Luncheon begins). Door prizes will be awarded at the luncheon: $25, $50, $100 and $250 gift cards! You can pay your $15 at Registration Wednesday or at the door on Friday.

Use this INVOICE to pay related Registration fees as needed. Adobe is experiencing calculation issues with their forms, so if the totals do not add up for you in the INVOICE, try using this BLANK INVOICE and add up the totals yourself. We are working with Adobe to find a fix for the calculation issues.

CHAIR AUDITION LINKS

Since students and directors are housed in so many different hotels (or commuting from home), directors (or their Alternate Designated Chaperones) are responsible for transporting their students to and from the rehearsal sites.

Uniformed security personnel will be present at all times during the clinic and Concert while students are present on the Melissa campus.

The small ATSSB All-State Band shoulder patch will be given students after they perform their Concert on Saturday. The large, 10″ ATSSB All-State patch will be available for sale by the Organizers during breaks.

See the Executive Secretary’s LETTER OF CONGRATULATIONS sent to directors with students in ATSSB All-State.
