Director of Bands and Elementary Music | Loop ISD | Heath Blackmon | A | hblackmon@loopisd.net | Loop ISD is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Director of Bands and Elementary Music teacher to help continue the growth and success of the students and program. The Spirit of the Stampede boasted an enrollment of 37 members this year, and retention is strong. This position includes teaching elementary music grades K-4, beginner band in grade 5, intermediate band in grade 6, and advanced band for grades 7-12. All 3 bands received a Division I rating at their respective Spring festivals in Abernathy or Greater Southwest Music Festival. The students are ready to push into UIL contests in 2026. While Loop does not have a marching band, the band does make appearances at all home football games (with the opportunity for away games as well) and pep rallies in the fall. The community loves their band! Loop ISD is located 10 miles East of Seagraves, Texas and approximately 60 miles Southwest of Lubbock, Texas. Teacher housing may be available. Email your resume to Heath Blackmon, Superintendent of Loop ISD.
