Please go to this URL (https://www.atssb.org/all-state-band-student-information/) to fill out the data we need for our records. You may be asked to do this by TMEA also, but we need this for ATSSB purposes.

Symphonic Band and Color instruments (oboe, bassoon, alto clarinet, contrabass clarinet, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, bass trombone, string bass) need to go to THIS URL and get the BAND APP for Symphonic Band to allow the band organizers to better communicate with the all-state students and parents. Color instruments will delete the app they will not use after chair auditions.

Piccolo and Ef Soprano Saxophones: Details regarding auditions for these instruments. Ef Soprano Clarinet will not be used in either band.

2026 ATSSB All-State Band Chair Audition Excerpts

You will audition for chairs using cuts as marked on the parts below. Instruments will use the part assigned to them with cuts as marked. Be sure you are using the correct excerpts by verifying it with your band director. There will be NO SCALES and NO AREA ETUDES used in chair auditions at State.

We only have publisher permission to make excerpts available online for this chair audition. Published parts are purchased by ATSSB for the rehearsal and concert.
